Choosing Your Property
Property hunting is an exciting experience, but before you get started, make a list of your reasons for buying so you can find the right match. A new modern build will set you off to a fantastic start if you're looking to make a long-term investment. Similarly, if you want to rent out the house to vacationers, make sure it contains features that they would enjoy, such as a swimming pool, and that it is located within a reasonable distance of the beach. And near a beach, and close to pubs, restaurants, and groceries.
If you intend to relocate to Turkey and spend the entire year there...
check to see if the property is close to medical facilities and, if necessary, schools. Do the natives speak English if you don't speak Turkish? This is where resorts with a significant expat community may help. If you want a property in a rural region, however, affordable and regular public transportation is a must if you don’t plan to purchase a vehicle.
